The Astros lost the shutout in the final inning, but held on to outlast the Yankees, 2-1, in Game One of the American League Championship series in Houston. Dallas Keuchel struck out ten batters over seven innings of four-hit, shutout ball. Carlos Correa and Yuli Gurriel singled in runs in the fourth for Houston. Ken Giles gave up a solo home run to Greg Bird in the top of the ninth, but earned the save as the Astros take a 1-0 series lead. Masahiro Tanaka allowed four hits and two runs over six innings to get charged with the loss for New York. Game Two gets going Saturday afternoon in Houston.
