It's happened again, another pedestrian has been killed trying to cross a busy street, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
This time the victim wasn't trying to run across the street and was in the crosswalk.But police say the light changed as a man in his sixties was crossing Culebra Rd. at Zarzamora on the west side overnight. He apparently tried to make it the rest of the way across, but didn't make it.
The man was run over by a car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still trying to determine if the driver of the car, who had the green light and said he didn't see the pedestrian, will face charges.
