Motorcyclist Dies in West Side Wreck

A motorcyclist was killed early today in a wreck on the west side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say the man was travelling at a high rate of speed on Gen. Hudnell Drive about 2:40AM Thursday when he lost control of his motorcycle.

He slammed into a guardrail and flew off the bike, hitting his head on the pavement.

The motorcycle continued traveling for about 1,000 feet before it went over the railing and landed in the oncoming lane.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
