Game Preview: Texans vs. Titans

New England Patriots v Houston Texans

KICKOFF: Sunday, 12:00 p.m. NRG Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY: 31st regular-season meeting. Titans lead series,16-14. The Titans won the season finale last year at home against the Texans, ending a five-game losing streak with a 24-17 victory. The Titans last won in Houston on New Year's Day 2012, the season finale for the 2011 season.

KEYS TO THE GAME: This game will feature two of the most exciting, young, dual threat quarterbacks in the league. Texans rookie Deshaun Watson had an encouraging performance in New England last week, throwing a pair of touchdown passes against the defendingSuper Bowl champions. How Watson performs against this division rival Sunday should go a long way toward determining how competitive the Texans will be as they seek to win the AFC South title for the third year in a row

The Titans counter with QB Marcus Mariota, possibly the most overlooked talent in the NFL. He can run, he can throw and he is learning that he does not have to carry the team. For two weeks ina row, the Titans run game has been successful and they will need that to be the case again this week in Houston. The Titans must keep manageable down and distances to back off the likes of J.J.Watt and Jadeveon Clowney or Mariota will need to display his running ability.
