Twitter is testing out tweets that break the 140 character mold. The social media company is experimenting with pushing its limit to 280 characters so people don't have to remove words to make their tweet fit the 140 character limit. As of now, only a small group of people can post longer tweets. Not all languages are being affected by the possible change. Twitter says languages like Japanese, Korean and Chinese will still have the old limits. That's because people tweeting in those languages can convey about twice the amount of information in one character than people writing in other languages like English or Spanish.
