Waco's Chip and Joanna Gaines Announce Exit from HGTV

Its fade to black for Waco's most famous couple, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Chip and Joanna Gaines, who premiered on HGTV's 'Fixer Upper' back in 2013, transforming old homes in the Central Texas city, have turned Waco into a tourist attraction, with nearly 2 million people visiting locations made famous by the couple, like Magnolia Market at the Silos.

"This season, which will begin in November, and will take us all the way into the second quarter of 2018, will be our last," Chip said today.

Joanna said the couple wants to focus on their family and other business ventures.

"Its such a bittersweet time for us, because the last five years for us, the show the crew have become our family," she said.  "We have helped fix up homes for so many wonderful families."

Chip and Joanna are the number one show on HGTV.
