The senseless list of shootings and killings on San Antonio's east side got a little longer overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say a man in his early twenties was found sprawled in the middle of the intersection of Upland and Jarbet, just north of Martin Luther King Dr, dead from at least two bullet wounds.
Officers were called on a report of gunshots in the area. They found two separate types of shell casings at the scene, indicating that two people fired the bullets that hit the victim.
One of the wounds was in the hand, indicating that the victim may have seen what was coming and tried to protect himself.
As is usual in these types of cases, nobody could be found who would admit to having seen anything, and detectives have no motive and no suspects.
