Victim of Early Morning Shooting 'Not Cooperating' With Police

Just hours after Police Chief William McManus decried a lack of cooperation from victims in the latest flurry of shootings, the victim of a shooting early this morning is not cooperating with police, News radio 1200 WOAI reports.

A 30 year old man was shot multiple times at Southwest Military and Highway 90, right across the road from the former Wilford Hall hospital.

But police found the victim six blocks away, at a home in the 6400 block of Elmer.

Predictably, the victim was 'very uncooperative,' according to a sergeant on the scene, and wouldn't tell officers who shot him or why.

He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The rash of shootings that has taken place this week has mainly been focused on the east side, and this one was on the southwest side, so officers don't think there is any connection.
