Police in Austin said today that made an arrest overnight in the brutal 'sucker punch' murder of a San Antonio Air Force veteran on the Capital City's Sixth Street entertainment strip over the weekend, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police are describing the suspect as a 'person of interest' in the murder of Marques Johnson, 33.
Johnson and his wife got into a confrontation on Sixth Street early Sunday, and police say a man punched him in the face for apparently no reason. He died later at the hospital.
Austin police on Wednesday released photographs of the suspect which were captured on surveillance video, and say it was calls from members of the public who recognized the man who led to the arrest.
