Valero Energy Corporation CEO Joe Gorder was giving away money today. Lots of it.
On behalf of the Valero Energy Foundation, Gorder distributed $11 million to 121 local charities, most of which serve children and children's causes.
It is the proceeds from this past spring's Valero Texas Open, and represents the largest fundraising total ever from the golf tournament.
The Valero Texas Open has long been the leading charity event on the PGA tour.
