They’re waving the big foam finger at both Schlitterbahn and Six Flags Fiesta Texas today, because both are number one in the annual theme park rankings by Amusement Today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Amusement today presents its ‘Golden Ticket’ awards for the ‘best of the best’ in theme parks, as voted by the people who attended the parks over the summertime.
Fiesta Texas’ Thunder Rapids Water Coaster was named the best new water park ride in 2017.And Schlitterbahn won the award for the world’s best Water Park.
Golden Ticket winners include categories like ‘Friendliest Park’ (Dollywood in Tennessee), Best Halloween Event (Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando in Florida), and Best Water Ride (Valhalla at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England)
Morgan's Wonderland was also awarded a special recognition in the 'Publisher's Category.' as 'Park of the Year.' Morgan's Wonderland is a barrier free theme park build specifically for children and adults with disabilities.
