Firefighters from several south Bexar County volunteer departments were dodging bullets today, when a house that was apparently filled with ammunition caught fire, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Several firefighters on the scene of the fire on Griffin Road, which is off I-35 just north of Lytle, reporting hearing ‘popping’ of ammunition.
The house was fully engulfed in flames when companies arrived and was a total loss.
The body of a man was found inside the home. Firefighters say the house was so cluttered with junk it was difficult to locate the body. Neighbors had told them that there was a man inside.
