Country music legend Don Williams is dead. The 78-year-old Texas native passed away today following a short illness. Williams grew up near the Gulf Coast in the 50's and started playing guitar in his teens. He was a major influence on multiple performers, including Johnny Cash, Eric Clapton, Charley Pride, and Pete Townshend. Williams was inducted into the County Music Hall of Fame in 2010.
