Police say a woman who was shot on the city's east side overnight was hit by a bullet that was meant for her boyfriend, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The couple was sitting outside a house on Canadian Street, which is off New Braunfels Ave. about 11:30 Thurssday night when a man in his twenties walked up and started firing.
The woman was hit at least once and was rushed to the hospital with non life threatening wounds.'
Police say the gunman was trying to shoot the man, who was not hurt, but is being questioned.
The bungling gunman ran off.
