Harvey Re-Enters Gulf of Mexico

Tropical Storm Harvey today reentered the Gulf of Mexico south of Port O'Connor and the storm is expected to come ashore a second time on Wednesday, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The National Weather Service says because of the movement of Harvey, all warnings for the I-35 corridor have been cancelled, and expected rainfall west of I-35 has been decreased some more.

But Harvey remains a devastating storm east of I-35, with some thirty inches of rain already reported in Fayette County.

The NWS Austin-San Antonio office says the Colorado River is the most likely to flood, with significant flooding expected near Lagrange. In the Houston area, disasterous rainfall is expected to continue into Thursday as Harvey drifts to the northeast.  It is eventually expected to move up the Mississippi River Valley as far north as St. Louis.
