A home invader and sex pervert who terrorized the Medical Center back in 2013 won't be terrorizing anybody else, ever, because Juan Rodriguez, 32, has been sentenced to life in prison, plus twenty years for good measure, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
"This lifestyle of crime will not be tolerated and we will continue to seek maximum punishment for evil behavior," District Attorney Nico LaHood said.
Rodriguez was sentenced for breaking into a woman's apartment on Datapoint Dr. back in September of 2013. Once inside, he jammed a gun into the woman's face, ransacked her apartment, and then ordered to to strip naked so he could take pictures of her.
The victim's younger brother called police and Rodriguez was arrested later that same day in Victoria, with the victim's driver's license still in his pocket.
Prosecutors say Rodriguez also pulled off several other sexual assaults and burglaries in the Medical Center in August and September of 2013, prompting Police Chief William McManus to call him 'brazen and dangerous.'
Rodriguez is awaiting trial for several other of those cases.
