Forecast: Rain, Cooler Temperatures on the Way

The Weather Channel says  our hot dry weather is about to undergo a drastic change...thanks to the remnants of Tropical Storm Harvey, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

As the remains of Harvey drift toward the Texas coast, the San Antonio area could begin to see rain Thursday night and into Friday morning.

The showers are expected to continue, with up to three inches of rain in the metro San Antonio area.

The Coastal Bend north of Corpus Christi could see up to six inches of rain, and there is the possibility of 'tropical storm force winds' east of I-35.

The rain will continue through Saturday, and the weather pattern will continue into Saturday, with Saturday's high temperature being only in the lower 80s.

Even after the storm passes, the long term forecast calls for an end to the heat, with highs next week only around 90 degrees.
