The Alamo Heights ISD is listed as the best public school district in the San Antonio area and one of the best in the state in a ranking by the web site 'Niche,' News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Niche says it studied parent and student reviews, as well as test scores and student body diversity.Niche also ranked the best high schools in San Antonio. Two magnet schools top the list, Health Careers in Northside ISD and International School of the Americas in the North East ISD.
They are followed by Reagan High School, Alamo Heights High School, Johnson High School and Boerne High School.
Listed as the best school districts in metro San Antonio, in addition to Alamo Heights, are Boerne, Lackland, Ft. Sam, and North East. All receive grades of A plus.
At the bottom of the list, with a grade of 'C' are the Edgewood and Southaside ISDs.
