Santikos Theaters Will Anchor Major Metrocom Area Development

A Santikos Family Entertainment Center will highlight a major development announced today at I-35 and Weiderstein in Cibolo, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Santikos Marketing Director Andrew Brooks says the theater complex will include the latest technical innovations with laser projectors and Dolby ATMOS sound, as well as luxury recliner seating.  The entire Family Entertainment Center will include bowling, a high energy sports bar, restaurants and arcade facilities.

It will sit on the southeast corner of the intersection, and will also include retail, restaurants and luxury apartments.

“John Santikos was a pioneer in the development of theater and family entertainment venues in San Antonio, and this new location will carry forward that spirit of grandeur and innovation” said Santikos Entertainment CEO, David Holmes. “ We look forward to offering the ultimate cinema experience along with an array of family entertainment options that will make this new location an exciting destination for entertainment seekers of all ages.”

Santikos Theaters is a charity operation, as designated in the will of the late founder John Santikos.  All proceeds from the company, which includes 103 screens and 17,000 seats, benefit local charities administered by the John Santikos Charitable Foundation, a Fund of the San Antonio Area Foundation.
