Father Goes Under Canyon Lake After Tossing Life Jacket to Daughter

UNITED WAY BASS CLASSIC 2017

Texas Parks and Recreation say they are resuming their search for a Houston father who went under water at Canyon Lake on Sunday after giving his life jacket to his teenaged daughter, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Rangers tell News Radio 1200 WOAI that Michael Talley and his 17 year old daughter were riding jet skis at the lake on Sunday when they made a sharp right turn, and toppled into the water.

Talley removed his life jacket and gave it to the teenager, before he was seen by friends nearly going under the water.

The daughter made it safely to shore.
