On line commerce has made Jeff Bezos of Amazon one of the richest people in the world, but it didn't work out so well for a man on the northeast side this morning, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Sheriff's deputies say the man was selling Jordan athletic shoes on Craig's List out of his home on Lincoln Village, which is off Walzem Road.
A man said he wanted to buy a pair, so when he showed up about 5AM the seller had shoes ready for him to examine.
But the buyer wasn't interested in buying. He pulled a gun and shot the seller in the legs, grabbed the shoes, and sped away.
The victim is hospitalized with non life threatening wounds. Deputies are looking for the gunman and two companions.
