Eight people including two children are dead after they were discovered in the back of an 18-wheeler in San Antonio. Authorities are calling it a human trafficking crime. Police Chief William McManus said officers responded to a call from a Walmart parking lot late Saturday. An employee called police about possible illegal immigrants after someone from the truck asked for water. Nearly 40 people were reportedly inside the trailer. Fire officials say at least 17 are critical while 13 are in serious condition including dehydration. The driver of the truck is in custody. McManus said police reviewed video from the store and saw several people had left the scene. The Department of Homeland Security is involved with the investigation.
