Life in Prison for New Braunfels Child Rapist

A New Braunfels man who brutally raped a three year old and a four year old will be spending the rest of his life in prison, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Michael Ellsworth, an admitted meth head, was described by prosecutors as 'a predator that targeted young children while reveling in drug addiction, with no regard for the laws of a civil society.

'State District Judge Gary Steel sentenced Ellsworth to the maximum sentence after the jury heard evidence that Ellsworth had committed 'acts of graphic sexual abuse against a four year old child.'

A second child came forward to report that Ellsworth had also sexually abused him at the age of three.

A psychiatrist who testified in the punishment phase of Ellsworth's trial said 'likely, he cannot be maintained in the community without endangering public safety.'

Among the items Judge Steel heard when making his decision to put Ellsworth away for ever was a recording of a 911 call where Ellsworth could be heard berating and threatening the child for coming forward with an allegation of abuse.
