North Korean missiles have the range to reach the U.S., but big questions remain about their accuracy. Air Force General Paul Selva told a Senate panel today that North Korea's July 4th launch test did not demonstrate the guidance technology needed to accurately hit a long range target. Selva, who serves as vice chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the U.S. has a variety of options to deal with the potential threat. He confirmed that one such option could include a preemptive strike if ordered by the President. Selva added that would require serious deliberation along with approval from Congress.
