A San Antonio Park Police officer was shot at while he and his partner were pursuing home invasion suspects on the city's west side overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say it started when three men smashed their way into a home on North Richter St, which is just west of the Bexar County Jail, and began robbing the occupants.
Two Park Police officers were driving by when the call came in, and entered the home as the suspects retreated out the back door.
One of the suspects fired a shot at the officers, but missed.
A police helicopter was called in, and the three suspects were rounded up.
One officer had to be treated for injuries he suffered while climbing over a fence while chasing the suspects.
The Park Police are San Antonio Police officers.
