Dozens Of Police Officers Injured In Hamburg Riots

GERMANY-G20-SUMMIT-PROTEST

Police in Hamburg, Germany say dozens  of their officers suffered injuries after today's violent protest ahead of the G-20 summit.  The Hamburg P-D put the number injured at 76.   Three of those officers had serious injuries.  Thousands of protestors  confronted police, hurling rocks, bottles and setting fires in an effort  to disrupt tomorrow's start of the global economic conference.  Police  used tear gas, water cannons and smoke bombs to try to disperse the  crowds.  World leaders will formally begin their two-day G-20 summit in  Hamburg Friday.
