The U.S. is calling on the UN Security Council to hold an emergency meeting after North Korea's latest missile test. U.S. officials believe the ICBM fired early Tuesday has a range of at least 35-hundred miles, which means it could possibly reach Alaska. It's the first time the isolated communist country has tested such a missile. The missile traveled around 600 miles before landing in the Sea of Japan.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson says it will take global action to stop the North Korean threat. In a statement today, Tillerson strongly condemned the communist regime for launching an intercontinental ballistic missile early Tuesday. He called the launch "a new escalation of the threat" to the United States and the rest of the world."
