The Warriors and two-time MVP Stephen Curry are breaking records with his new contract. Golden State has agreed to a five-year, 201-million-dollar supermax contract with the face of their franchise. The 201-million-dollars amounts to the richest contract in NBA history. Curry averaged 25.3 points and shot 41-percent from three this past season as he guided the Warriors to their second championship in three years. The 28-year-old has been with Golden State since they drafted him seventh overall in 2009.
Curry has emerged as one of the best three-point shooters in NBA history, and holds the league record for most threes made in a season with 406. No other player has made more than 300 in a season. Curry is also 10th all-time with 1,917 threes made in his career.
