New President Chosen for UTSA

The University of Texas Board of Regents has named a Tennessee educator to become the next President of the University of Texas San Antonio, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

T. Taylor Eighmy is currently the Vice Chancellor at the University of Tennessee.

Under the state's arcane method of hiring public education officials, Eighmy was named 'sole finalist for the post, and will be officially hired following a 21 day comment period.

Eighmy is also a former administrator at Texas Tech.

Eighmy succeeds Ricardo Romo, who retired in March after 19 years as UTSA president.
