The White House is promising that the Syrian regime will pay a "heavy price" if it carries out another chemical weapons attack. In a statement, the White House says Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces may be preparing for a chemical weapons attack. The statement said the activities the U.S. has noticed are similar to those the regime made before a deadly poison gas attack in April. Because of that attack, President Trump ordered airstrikes against the military air base where it originated.
