Methodist Children's Hospital today began moving its young patients into dozens of new patient rooms at the Medical Center location today, and the move came with a twist, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Window washers dressed as Batman, Superman, and other super heroes greeted the kids as they moved into their new rooms.
The hospital's Elizabeth Ortega says kids get through the trials of hospitalization better when they are having a good time
."It makes a huge difference in their healing, and also the caregivers, it really brings out their spirits too," she said.
The hospital is expanding its commitment to children's health, and adding dozens of new private rooms in an effort to reduce wait times.
