Quick Thinking Teen Leads Officers to Gunman

Quick thinking under fire by a teenager helped police nab a suspected gunman early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police say two teenagers were walking through Spring Time Park off Babcock Road about midnight, when they spotted a red Toyota rolling through the park.

When the driver saw the two teenagers, he rolled down his window, produced a handgun, and started shooting at them.

One of the teens was hit twice, and he was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

But the other managed to get a description of the car, and a license plate number.

That helped police pull the guy over on DeZavala near the Post Office.  He was taken into custody and is expected to be charged with aggravated assault.

No word on why the guy shot at the teenagers.
