The Golden State Warriors were too much for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Golden State defeated Cleveland for the second time in three seasons in the NBA Finals, finishing off with a 129-120 victory in Game Five at ORACLE Arena.
The Warriors won the series, four-games-to-one. Kevin Durant, who earned his first-ever championship, went for 39 points on 14-of-20 shooting. Steph Curry chipped in 34 with 10 assists and six rebounds despite struggling behind the arc.
Andre Iguodala had a monster game off the bench with 20 points and terrific defense. Another incredible performance from LeBron James couldn't help Cleveland extend the matchup to a sixth game. James ended putting up 41 points, 13 boards and eight helpers. J.R. Smith connected on 7-of-8 from deep for 25 to help keep the Cavs within striking distance throughout the night.
