Car Drives Around Barricades, is Demolished by Train

Here's a clue: when there are signs on the roadway warning of dangerous railroad tracks ahead, it might be a good idea to pay attention.

News Radio 1200 WOAI reports a couple who apparently felt the signs didn't apply to them drove around signs and construction barrels and drove right onto the Union Pacific tracks on Brazos Street, near the former Stockyards on the west side, about midnight.

Sure enough, a train was coming.

They got out in time but the train demolished their car.

In their second brilliant move of the evening, the couple decided that their best course of action was to run away into the night.

Obviously, police have the registration information on the car, and know exactly who they are.
