A driver who was being pursued by police Sunday night slammed into a home in the Jefferson High School area, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police had received a call for 'shots fired' and a police helicopter identified the suspect car, and provided information to officers, who initiated a chase.
Police say the car skidded off Lake Street and slammed into the home. Three people were inside at the time, none of them was hurt.
The driver jumped out and tried to run away but was captured. The passenger surrendered.
Officers discovered a large quantity of meth in the car, which may explain why they were trying to get away. Handguns were also found in the car.
