Gunfire and explosions are being reported at a resort in the Philippine capital of Manila today. Resorts World Manila in Newport City was placed on lockdown shortly after midnight local time after gunshots broke out. A fire was also reported in one of the buildings of the resort complex near the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Police, fire trucks and SWAT teams are responding. The resort complex is a top tourist attraction and sports a casino, hotels, shops and bars. Violence has rocked the Philippines and President Rodrigo Duterte has declared martial law in Mindanao.
