A fired up Gregg Popovich said today he 'doesn't expect' Spurs star Kawhi Leonard to be in the lineup for Game Two of the Western Conference Finals tomorrow night, and he blasted Warriors star Zaza Pachulia for the injury that Kawhi suffered in yesterday's game, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
"A two step lead with your foot closing is not appropriate," Popovich said. "It's dangerous, it's unsportsmanlike, its not what anybody does. And this particular individual has a history of that kind of action."
Popovich rattled off several incidents in which Pachulia participated in a move that the 'league outlawed years ago.'
"Kawhi isn't there, and you want to know how we feel about it, you want to know if that lessens our chances or not? We are playing quite possibly the best team in the league, and 9.7 out of 10 people would figure the Warriors would beat the Spurs. We've had a pretty damn good season, we've played pretty good in the playoffs, we're up 25 points in the third quarter. Then Kawhi goes down. You want to know how we feel? That's how we feel!"
Popovich asked the Oakland reporter how the Warriors would do 'if Steph Curry went down.
'Game Two is here on Spurs Radio 1200 WOAI with a tip at 8PM with Voice of the Spurs Bill Schoening.
