A teenager was killed early Sunday as he was trying to run across I-35 in New Braunfels, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say David Teniente, 19, from Schertz, was trying to dart across the busy highway when he was struck by a Ford F-250 pickup driven by a San Antonio woman.
Teniente was lying in the median when officers arrived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver stopped to render aid to the victim, and no charges are expected.
