Animal Care Services is looking for the person who shot a friendly tabby cat with a 'razor sharp' arrow on the city's southwest side, hurting the cat so seriously she had to be put down, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
ACS calls it a 'shocking case of cruelty.'
The orange tabby named Maggie was a familiar and friendly sight around the neihborhood of Valley Hi Drive.
But officials say a homeowner investigating the cat's cries in pain investigated, and found Maggie gravely injured, shot through the upper boy by the arrow.
The cat was rushed to a vet, who said she was so badly hurt she could not be saved.
ACS says the shorthaired cat was microchipped and was part of a family who lives in the area.ACS says the person who shot the kitty could face felony charges.
