A seven year old boy was shot by a drive-by gunman as he lay in his bed in his southeast side home, News Radio 1200 WOAI's Michael Board reports.
Police were called to a home on Charcliff Drive, which is near East Houston and W.W. White, on a report of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found two separate homes had been hit by gunfire.
The victim was in his bedroom when two bullets tore through the house and he was shot twice.He is in stable condition at University Hospital.
Police have a description of a vehicle, but they don't have any word on a motive or suspects.
