Stolen Car Leads to West Side Police Raid

An investigation into a stolen car led to a brief standoff on the city's far west side early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police were called to a home in the 10500 block of Tiger Way, which is just north of Potranco Road, on a report of a disturbance.

When they arrived, they found two men jumping over a fence.

When officers investigated, they found a stolen car in the back yard of the home.

But the two men and another man and a woman rushed into the house and locked the doors before police could question them.

So officers called for backup and, with guns drawn, kicked in the door and entered the home.

Three men and two women were arrested without incident.  Police don't think all will be charged, and they want to find out what was happening at the house.
