Police say 'copy cats' have begun hitting north side businesses, apparently copying the tactics of a gang of three men blamed for at least six robberies since Friday night, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say two men, wearing black hoodies, robbed the Wing Stop in the 1500 block of Austin Highway last night.
The two men emptied the cash register and also stole a safe, after pointing guns at employees.
Detectives say even though the men dressed similarly to the gang that has committed all the armed robberies over the last several days, these two are definitely not part of that gang.
They remain on the loose.
