Two people were shot...apparently completely at random....on opposite sides fo the city early this morning, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The first was a man who was standing at the corner of Babcock and Prue Roads on the northwest side about 12:30 this morning.
He said a white car drove by and somebody inside fired two shots, one of them hitting him in the arm.
He ran to a nearby Valero to call for help. He's in stable condition and police have no idea if the gunman was aiming at the victim, thought he was somebody else, or was just firing wildly.
About two hours later, a man was standing outside the Palms Apartments in the 3700 block of East Commerce when a man walked up to him and asked 'no I know you?'
Without waiting for an answer, then man pulled a gun and shot the victim once.
He is hospitalized with wounds that are not life threatening. The gunman ran away.
Once again, police have no clues as to who did this, or why.
