A man driving a stolen pickup tried to run but he didn't get far early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police spotted the stolen truck at 18th and Saltillo Street when they saw a man walking up to the pickup and getting into it.
On came the lights and siren but the driver floored it, and sped away eastbound toward Roosevelt Ave, where he turning onto Loop 410.
Police say the man got onto the eastbound lanes of 410 traveling westbound across the south side and then north on 410 in the southbound lane as police and deputies pursued.
They finally got the man boxed in as he turned onto Highway 90, still going in the wrong direction.
He'll face multiple charges, including evading arrest.
