Police say neighbors heard her screaming for help, but nobody even bothered to call 9-1-1.
A 27 year old woman was found brutally stabbed to death in her east side apartment overnight, in a case where people knew there was trouble, but couldn't be bothered to lift a finger to help.
The woman lived in the apartment in the 3900 block of East Houston Street with her boyfriend.
The man left last night to help a friend fix his car.
While he was gone, somebody apparently entered the apartment.
When the boyfriend returned, he found the front door ajar and the woman slashed and stabbed to death in the living room.
A detective said neighbors heard 'arguing and screaming' but nobody called for help.
The victim was dead by the time help arrived.. Police have no suspects.
