A husband and wife were found stabbed to death in their north side townhome this morning by their teenage 'special needs,' child, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say both victims were in their thirties.
Chief William McManus says the child went to school and, for some reason, returned from school to find his parents dead.
"He calls the grandmother, and the relative calls police," McManus said. "We arrive, we find a man and woman deceased in the house. No weapon was found. So far there is no weapon that we can find. We are not sure at this point exactly what happened."
He said detectives aren't sure if it is a double murder, or a murder suicide.
"The special needs child explained what he saw to his relatives."
McManus says there was no sign of forced entry into the home.
