Former 49er Dwight Clark Diagnosed with ALS

Sad news for former San Francisco 49er receiver Dwight Clark. Clark announced on Sunday he has been diagnosed with  ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).

Clark who is 60 revealed he has undergone months of testing after having weakness in his left hand.

Clark solidified his place in NFL history with his 1981 touchdown in the NFC Championship game against the Dallas Cowboys. "The Catch" was a 6 yard pass from Joe Montana with 58 seconds left in the game putting the 49ers up 28-27 over the Cowboys and served of the beginning of the 49er's domination in the 90's.
