The people of San Antnoio have spoken, and they say the new baby otter at the San Antonio zoo 'otter' be named Roxy.
The Zoo opened the decision on what to name the Otter to the public on Monday, and received some 1500 suggestions.
The three top finalists were placed on the Zoo's Facebook page yesterday, and, with more than 500 votes, Roxy was the fave.
“We are so thankful for public’s participation in helping us pick the perfect name to complete the trio,” said Tim Morrow, the zoo’s Executive Director and CEO. “We hope to continue to find innovative ways to engage our community in making a connection with wildlife.”
Roxy and her sisters, Quinn and Ivy, will make their public debut at the Zoo this weekend.
