A man is in custody following a bizarre crime spree in far northwest Bexar County, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
It started when a man stole a pickup truck that had been left running at I-10 and Tarpon Road in Fair Oaks Ranch.
Apparently, the man decided he wanted a more heavy duty ride, so he drove to a construction site at I-10 and stole a front end loader.
That's right, a front end loader.
Behind the wheel of this powerful, but not particularly fast, piece of construction equipment, the man led Bexar County deputies on a chase up I-10 and into Boerne, where he was quickly apprehended.
San Antonio Police and Kendall County Deputies also participated in the pursuit.
No word on what the man's motivation was, if any.
