Routine Debris Pickup in Tornado-Hit Areas Ends Tomorrow

U.S. Small Business Adminstration officials have identified 31 homes, mainly in the Ridgeview neighborhood across US 281 from the Quarry, which may allow them to obtain low interest loans to help with tornado damage which was not covered by homeowners insurance, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The City has been 'pre qualified' as a Disaster Declaration area, and officials expect formal notifiction on its disaster status by tomorrow.

The City also says it will wrap up its pickup of brush and debris from the hard hit aras tomorrow, but people in Ridgeview can still call 3-1-1 to request additional debris pickup.  Officials say 95% of the debris and downed trees and brush from the flurry of five tornadoes which hit the northeast side of San Antonio and Bexar County has been removed.
